Wide Open Spaces

This week at 52 Photos project is all about Wide open spaces.  These are two of my favorite sunrise pictures from our trip to Kauai last year.

Right Now

This week's prompt at 52 Photos Project  "is about embracing and recognizing how each moment is a new one. It's a place we've never been, it's something we've never tried ... it's about attempting ~ beginning ~ savoring the right here and now. Last week we were softly fading away. This week, let's be present - in this moment - where are you? " 

When I saw this chair at a club we went to Saturday night, it stuck me as a moment gone by.  I wonder how many people have sat in that chair, in that spot, and what were their stories?  It made me think how fleeting moments really are.

Fade Away

This week's prompt at 52 Photos Project is Softly Fade Away.  Bella says, "I am really looking forward to your interpretation of this theme!  I came up with the idea  easily enough with the old year fading out and the ushering in of this brand new one."

This is one of the first sunset photos I took while at Squam by the Sea in the Outer Banks last year.  The sun faded softly away on that first day, bringing in all the possibilties that followed.
