Fear

One of the big topics on several of my favorite blogs right now is fear. A lot of people seem to be experiencing fear right now, as if there is a force going through the air.

I heard this line last night in an episode of "Lost" and I got up from the couch and went into the kitchen to write it down, because I knew that I wouldn't remember it this morning. "Everybody's scared, and the thing that they're scared of most is missing an opportunity." That about sums it up for me....

The weather outside is frightful.....

Yippee!! The snow mouse is coming to town!! We are in the path of a winter storm that is supposed to hit us with between 6-12" of snow. Except for the fact that I have to do my grocery shopping with all of the bread and milk freaks tomorrow, it will be a glorious weekend snowed in with my husbee. I'm planning a nice roast for dinner Sunday with a nice bottle of wine, and catching up on our favorite shows that we recorded this week.

The best laid plans of mice.......

I didn't make anything this weekend except food. I walked into my craft room several times ready to grab some earring supplies, and I just walked out. Lately, when I walk in there, I get a feeling of heaviness. I can't explain it, I just feel like the walls are closing in on me. I have a craft show in mid-March and I am afraid that I won't have anything new. I have 2 orders pending for that show, and I haven't even attempted to start them yet.

I'm sitting here at my desk, dreading the rest of this week. I wish that I could take some time to get myself creating again. I really don't know what it would take. Whenever I plan to sit myself down and work on my jewelry, I just don't. I thought that by giving myself a goal, that it would inspire me. So far, it hasn't. I used to love sitting in my little fold-up chair in the living room, and just go crazy making things. I really haven't done anything since I got rid of that chair. When I come home at night, all I want to do is sit on the couch and relax and stare at the tv. I always look forward to the weekend so that I can do things, but I never really do. I just don't know how to get myself out of this creative funk...
