I came across a little game this morning when I was catching up with my blogs. Go to Google and put your first name in the search box followed by the word "needs", and then list the first 15 searches, but leave out the duplicates. Here is what came up for me:
- Barbara needs to blog
- Barbara needs a good swift K@#$
- Barbara needs a miracle
- Barbara needs a victory
- Barbara needs a screen
- Barbara needs to pull her nose down before she drowns in the shower
- Barbara needs homes
- Barbara needs more small affordable rooms
- Barbara needs help alright
- Barbara needs rules tht curtails the amount of stops
- Barbara needs to be kicked to the curb
- Barbara needs a decent Thai place
- Barbara needs our help
- Barbara needs to lose weight
- Barbara needs time to set the scene
Although a lot of my Barbara needs were preceded by Santa, for the city, it is still pretty fun.
Try it!!

Broken ?
I had a small post on Friday but when I opened my blog this morning it was blank. The name of the post is on the side but the space on the main page is blank. Is it broken? :(
I had plans this weekend to trash some things in the "craft room" but I ended up getting some much needed rest. I got up Saturday morning at 7:30 and ended up going back to bed at 8. I slept until 10:15, it was wonderful! I have been exhausted these last few weeks, so it felt really good to nap. I ended up napping again in the afternoon for an hour!
Sunday we went to an arts festival that I used to do a few years ago. It seemed exceptionally sad and worn out. As usual, there were a number of buy-sell losers that try to pass their crap off as handmade, including the "Puzzle ring" woman that won first prize in the jewelry category with her rings bought from the back of an industry magazine. We did have a nice lunch at the new Irish pub though, yummy calamari and fried shrimp. And the Irish cider wasn't bad either ;)
(edited) Ok now I look silly. My Friday post suddenly appeared after I posted this.... Where was it, in the Twilight Zone????

Who were you?
I got a catalog in the mail yesterday and in it I found a plaque with a phrase that really stood out. It says, " Who were you before you put yourself last?"
It really made me think about how I don't take time for myself anymore. I sit at my desk for eleven hours every day. I don't work out. I don't take time off. I lose at least a weeks vacation every year because I don't have time to take it. We don't take any time for ourselves because we are just too busy.
When I read Melissa's blog the other day, about how, as children, we thought 40 was so old. I remember thinking "Oh my God, I'll be 40 when the century changes." Well that was 6 years ago. There is a line in an old Chicago song, "Time passes much too quickly" and that is the truth.
I feel like I am rambling now because I have so much to say. I'll be back....
