A beautiful day for a ballgame

It's chiily here this morning, about 42 degrees but it is supposed to be 72 and sunny later this afternoon and we are lucky enough to be heading to a 3:00 Phillies game. Over the years that we have had our ticket plan whenever we had an April day game, it has always been mitten weather. But, today should be glorious. We will be leaving work at around 1:00 and heading down to the park. Yippee, a 1/2 day and a ballgame!!

We will also be leaving early tomorrow and heading upstate for the weekend. I am bringing a mini bead collection to continue on my path to 500 pair of earrings. Right now, I am at 45 pair. I will also be working on my two newest items, bookmarks and cha-cha rings. My next show is May 13th so I want to be sure that I have a lot of Mother's Day gifts ready to be snatched up by eager shoppers.

I am really looking forward to this show. It is being run by the Friends of our library and the gentleman running it is very eager to make it a success. They even have it advertised on their website. This is the first time that I have done a show where there was an admission charged, which could be a good or bad thing. The other shows at this building are free admission.

I think that I will even break out the sterling silver, which I have always been afraid to work with. I don't know why, but it intimidates me. I have used sterling earwires before, but never sterling wire. I guess I can start out with some simple designs in the beginning, until I get accustomed to working with it.

Oh well, I guess I need to get some work done sice I am leaving early today.... Go Phillies!!

Where do weekends go?

I got up this morning at around 6:30 after a fitful night's sleep, to the sounds of a building thunderstorm. As I sat on the couch waiting for my tea water to boil, I wondered how Monday came so fast. It seems that weekends disappear too quickly. I look forward all week to that moment on Friday afternoon that officially begins the weekend and then suddenly it's Monday morning again.

My Sunday night sleep is always rattled by thoughts of things I have to do at work. Once I wake up, I am done. For the rest of the night I worry about everything that I have to do, and how much I hate every minute of it. It always seems worse when the weekend is a busy one.

I just lost my train of thought due to a Blogger outage and the danger of losing my post. Maybe that's a good thing. Who needs to read about Monday-itis.....
