The Door

My first attempt at uploading a picture! This awesome window is in the front door of the house we stayed in last year in Manhattan Beach, CA.

Yesterday I received my fabulous box of Swirly loot!! As soon as I got the email that I had a package in our receiving department I knew what it was. I couldn't wait to dig in!! I got two journals, a note pad with a magnet, a rubber stamp and lots of awesome cards!! I am going to frame some of them and hang them in my craft room.

I am so looking forward to this awesome 3 day weekend!! The weather is supposed to be fabulous and WARM!! We are going to upstate PA to hang with Michael's brother. I am going to bring my art journal and a few books and just veg.....

And, by the way, Taylor ROCKS!!!!

Never turn your back on a rainbow

My yoga class was quite an experience last night. It was one of those nights where the sky was shared by bright sunlight and ominously dark clouds. The class started off normally with slow calming breathing exercises and sunlight slowly dimming. It was at the peak of class, when energy flow is the highest when the storm broke. It was the loudest thunder I have heard in a long time. It literally shook the school building where the class was held. The rain followed as the class wound down to shavasana (rest). As we were lying on our backs, the rain poured out of the sky, hitting the wall of windows with a constant wave of water which filled the room with a soothing "white noise" a perfect background sound for the peaceful rest period of class. As we finished shavasana and came back to our final seated posture, the sun came out again. It was an amazing feeling.

When I walked out to the car, the storm was off to the east and I could see a small but beautiful rainbow. I watched it slowly get a little deeper in color. I opened the back of the jeep to put my yoga mats in, and when I turned around, my little rainbow was gone.

Never turn your back on a rainbow. You never know how long it will be around.....
